How do you decorate your gifts with personalised Christmas labels?

With Christmas and New Year’s Eve fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about the gifts you're giving and how you’re going to wrap them. In this article, we’ll share a fun Christmas DIY gift-wrapping idea to work on with your kids and some tips on how to decorate your presents in the most magical way with personalised Christmas labels.

DIY Christmas gift wrapping

Looking for an easy DIY Christmas project to work on with your kids? Then we have just the thing for you! With this simple and original activity, your children will be able to make their own personalised gift box, to use for small presents for grandparents, teachers & classmates.

Whether it's a homemade biscuit, a little coupon to help mum and dad set the table, a handmade necklace, bracelet, or a small drawing, this home-made Christmas packaging will delight the recipient.

To make this super easy, quick and original gift wrap, you’ll need:

  • A toilet paper roll (the inside cardboard roll, after you’ve finished with the tissues)
  • Your choice of paint
  • A brush
  • Your choice of pens
  • A ribbon or piece of decorative string
  • Customised Christmas labels
  • A clothing peg

If your children aren’t old enough to make it on their own, you can help them make this fun gift box while leaving room for your children’s creativity. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Start by holding the toilet roll with a clothing peg so you don't get your fingers dirty and comb it with paint. We recommend red and green colours, which are particularly suitable for Christmas. But you’re free to choose other colours for this 100% homemade gift wrap.

  2. Then, let the roll dry for a few minutes or, if you or your children are impatient, use a hair dryer. This will make it go a little faster ;-)

  3. Let your child choose a coloured pen and let him/her draw small illustrations on the painted roll, such as small dots or stars. Top tip: a white marker/pen will give the best result for your Christmas gift wrapping!

  4. When the roll is completely dry, gently flatten it and carefully fold the edges to form a small Christmas gift bag. This is particularly small, so your child can use it to wrap small items for family and friends.

  5. Now you can put a small present inside the personalised gift box and close it securely with a ribbon or piece of string. For the last finishing touch, simply apply a personalised Christmas label with a name, photo, greeting or other message on the gift bag - and you're done!

A personalised Christmas label for every type of gift wrap

For larger presents that can't fit into your children’s 100% homemade gift box, such as biscuit boxes, stuffed animals, toys or books, the gift wrapping we’re going to suggest won't be 100% DIY - but still amazing. For larger presents, you can add a personal, original and fun touch to each present by applying customisable gift wrapping labels They’ll be the extra touch that will make all the difference when you’re wrapping presents for grandparents, uncles, aunties, school friends and teachers.

It's easy! First, choose the type of label you want - mini , small , medium , large , rectangular , round or heart-shaped and personalise it to your taste (or let you children decide!).
